Labor and Unions

Strong unions built the middle class, and rebuilding worker power is essential to rebuilding economic dignity in this country. Our labor policy is grounded in a simple principle: working people deserve real power on the job. That means protecting the right to organize, strike, and collectively bargain without retaliation, passing the PRO Act to end corporate union-busting, expanding union-led apprenticeship programs that lead to stable middle class careers, and fully enforcing labor law through a strong and independent NLRB. This campaign stands unequivocally with workers, not corporate donors, because an economy that works for working families depends on strong unions, fair wages, and shared prosperity.

The Difference Is Clear

Zeeshan Hafeez is running to rebuild worker power and restore dignity to work.

Allred and Johnson represent a system that talks about labor while accommodating corporate and donor interests.

Strong unions require more than supportive statements. They require leadership willing to confront power. People over politics. Workers over corporations

Strong Unions. Strong Workers. Strong Middle Class.

In America’s richest economy, workers should have power, dignity, and fair compensation. The wealth of this country is created by working people, yet too many are falling behind while corporate profits soar.

Unions are essential to building an economy that works for working families instead of Wall Street and corporate insiders. They built the middle class once, and they are essential to rebuilding it again.

Zeeshan fights to defend and expand union rights, ensure collective bargaining across all sectors, and protect the right to organize without fear of retaliation. Workers should share in the prosperity they create.

The Right to Organize is Fundamental.

Every worker deserves the freedom to organize, collectively bargain, and strike without intimidation or punishment. That right should not depend on where you live, what industry you work in, or how powerful your employer is.

Zeeshan supports passing the Protecting the Right to Organize Act to strengthen workers’ ability to unionize, prohibit employer interference, and modernize labor law for the 21st-century economy.

Collective Bargaining for All Workers.

The right to negotiate fair wages, benefits, and working conditions should belong to every worker, including public sector employees nationwide. Teachers, healthcare workers, firefighters, sanitation workers, and other public servants keep our communities running and deserve the same rights as any other worker.

Federal law must guarantee collective bargaining rights regardless of job category or state.

Ending Policies That Weaken Worker Power.

So-called right to work laws weaken unions by draining their resources and undermining worker solidarity. These policies suppress wages, reduce benefits, and tilt the economy further toward corporate power.

Zeeshan supports ending laws that undermine union strength while preserving workers’ freedom of choice. A fair system requires shared responsibility and shared benefits.

The Right to Strike Must Be Protected.

Striking is a last resort, but it is a vital tool when workers are denied fairness at the bargaining table. No worker should face retaliation, job loss, or legal punishment for standing together.

Zeeshan opposes restrictions on the right to strike in any industry and will fight to protect workers who engage in collective action.

Enforce the Law and Support the NLRB

Labor rights mean nothing without enforcement. The National Labor Relations Board must be fully funded, independent, and empowered to hold employers accountable for violations of labor law.

Zeeshan supports strengthening the NLRB so workers are protected in practice, not just in theory.

Pathways to Union Jobs and the Middle Class.

Union apprenticeship programs are proven pathways to stable, family-sustaining careers. They combine hands-on training with education, fair wages, and long-term opportunity.

Zeeshan will expand and invest in registered union apprenticeship programs across construction, manufacturing, clean energy, transportation, healthcare, technology, and public services.

Why This Matters.

Strong unions mean higher wages, safer workplaces, better benefits, and a stronger democracy. When workers have bargaining power, communities thrive and inequality shrinks.

Union participation should be encouraged, not weakened, by federal policy.

Zeeshan stands with working people. He will fight to ensure labor rights are respected nationwide, union power is protected, and workers’ voices are never silenced.
